Requesting an increase in quota

Request changes to a quota from the Quotas page in the GCP Console. There is no charge for requesting an increase in quota. Your costs increase only if you use more resources.

Request a change to quota

  1. Go to the Quotas page. GO TO THE QUOTAS PAGE
  2. In the Quotas page, select the quotas you want to change.
  3. Click the Edit Quotas button on the top of the page.
  4. Check the box of the service you want to edit.
  5. Fill out your name, email, and phone number and click Next.
  6. Enter your request to increase your quota and click Next.
  7. Submit your request.
  8. A request to decrease quota is rejected by default. If you must reduce your quota, reply to the support email with an explanation of your requirements. A support representative will respond to your request.

You will receive a response from the Compute Engine team within 24 to 48 hours of your request.

Plan and request additional resources at least a few days in advance to ensure that there is enough time to fulfill your request.

I’d recommend you request 30-50 max for a quick approval. Or try more if you want.

What to say:

I am making an app for a school that load balances servers and need a total of 30 IPs to run this.

I am making a new API that relies on making servers based on active server load; I need 30 IPs to make this work.

I’m making a web distribution balancer and need more servers to handle a load, 30 will work for me.

My professor asked us to open an account and request a limit increase to build a app – he said i need 30 IP addresses.
